If you’ve opened Cinema 4D Lite R25 for the first time and objects don’t have an axis or seem to be locked (can’t move, rotate, or scale), you may need to update Cinema 4D Lite through MAXON’s offline installer.

Here’s how to do this:

  1. Go to MAXON’s Cinema 4D R25 Downloads page

  2. Go to Applications and Language Installers → Cinema 4D R25.113 Offline Installer

  5. Make sure you’ve closed out of After Effects and Cinema 4D, and then run the installer on your machine

<aside> ⚠️ You will not be upgraded to, nor will you have to pay for, the full edition of Cinema 4D by installing this update. The installer will say that you are installing the full edition of Cinema 4D — this is okay. Once you install the update, Cinema 4D Lite R25 will still launch on your machine.
